Lee Wright is a printmaker, oil painter and art teacher based in the Brecon Beacons.
Lee initially trained as a printmaker at Putney School of Art and later as an oil painter at The Welsh Academy of Art.
His reduction lino prints most often depict the Welsh landscape but also wildlife from the area or from his travels. The style of his work is influenced by the work Japanese printmakers, Art Nouveau artists and stained glass artists. In his work he aims to achieve a balance of subtlety and impact; creating work that gives joy and a sense of calmness to its viewers.
When not making his own art, Lee can be found teaching painting or printmaking at The Welsh Academy of Art or in schools and art groups in South Wales.
