Ali Tregaskes is a jewellery designer/maker, living in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire; she specialises in creating richly textured, etched and oxidised silver jewellery, with occasional embellishments of 18ct gold.
Ali combines her love of photography and textures by using her images of nature, architecture and coast to create the detailed etchings.
Attending Hereford College of Art as a mature student in 2004, Ali was fulfilling her long held desire to work with metal. She began her journey by creating sculptural pieces with etched copper and bronze. Over time she began scaling her work down in size, eventually finding her niche with etched silver jewellery. The jewellery and etching is largely self-taught; preserving an individuality and freshness of style.
Ali is a member of the Worcester Guild Contemporary Craft.
