Painter and printmaker Helen Arthur aims to bring the energy of the wild elements into her semi-abstract mixed media paintings. Her colours and marks are prompted by the Welsh borders landscape surrounding her home-studio.
She says of her work "There’s a kind of wild light where I live and work – here in the Brecon Beacons. This impacts on my creativity in an inescapable way. The paintings aim to communicate atmosphere and impact above the reality of the scene.
