Bev Campbell was born in 1963 and lived in the New Forest Hampshire in Southern England growing up surrounded by trees.
Bev is an emerging painter, whose work captures the drama, changing light and weather of British landscapes.
She studied printmaking and currently is studying at the Newlyn School of Art to further her practice.
Printmaking still influences her work but has largely given way to more fluid painting using oils on large and small canvasses. Sketches are made en plein air and then worked up using layer upon layer of glazes until the desired image emerges. Often organic material is collected on site and used in mark -making on the painting.
Bev's work is held in private collections in UK and France has been selected for the RWA, she has exhibited in the Bath Society of Arts and in local venues and exhibitions around Bristol, Cardiff and Abergavenny.
She is a member of the Clifton Art Club.
