2022 sees us beginning to host events again with some exciting events in the planning. As well as each exhibition opening with an opening party we have some "Meet the Artist' days, talks and workshops being scheduled.
The following events are free but please do book a place:
May 18th, 7pm: Observations, Collections, Recollections - A Lifetime in Photography with Pete Davis
May 20th, 7.30pm: Pebbles on a Childs Palm - A tribute in words and music to Jan Skácel.
Found Gallery is part of the Beacons & Surrounds Craft Week in June and will be running a number of workshops over this period:
Thursday, 23rd June: Potter Nigel Lambert demonstration and Q & A
Artist Mariette Voke painting workshop with Q & A
Friday 24th June: Greenwood Workshop with Gwyn Daggett & Jamie Tobin
A 5 hour workshop (including a 1 hour lunch break) to create a 3 legged stool/chopping block to take home. Using only greenwood techniques. £25 per head.
Saturday 25th June
: Photography Workshop - Seeing Through the Eye of Your Inner Artist with Beth Flynn (2 hours)
Creative Photography Experience in Found’s lower gallery.
This workshop is open for participants to create a self portrait, focusing the eye onto details of the body. Beth invites you to play in these spaces using both the body and other props with the intention to introduce new ways of seeing through interaction and discussion. £10 per head.
Please wear/bring plain monochrome clothing and any prop personal to you.
