Artist Andrew McCutcheon and photographer Glenn Edwards are bringing us this exhibition with potter Jennie Gilbert and new designer graduate Bonnie Grace.
Andrew’s paintings are often energised with expressive, lively swoops of colour. Other times more restraint and control is prioritised but Andrew’s principal concern is always the juxtaposition of colours and the interplay between the additional formal elements of line, shape and texture.
‘Home: In Another Land’ is an exhibition from Newport based photojournalist Glenn Edwards. The work spans across 6 years of work photographing the African community across Wales.
Jennie Gilbert is showing work from her Mishima range - beautiful pottery that works and feels good to use. Glaze on glaze decoration with intricate slip inlay.
Bonnie Grace’s slab built jugs have a coloured underglaze decorated with ceramic pencil, textured decals, coded text and lustres.
