Caroline was born in Kenya to Maltese-Irish parents and spent an idyllic childhood in various parts of East Africa. When she was 11years old her family moved to Dubai and she was sent to boarding school in the UK and then received unconditional acceptance to attend St. Martins School of Art in London. Circumstances dictated otherwise and it was not until almost 20 years later, that she picked up where she had left off at St. Martins and began her art career. She quickly established herself as a successful water colourist in Bahrain, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
In 2000 her life took another trajectory and she moved to Malta, launching her Faces of Africa collection, for which she is, to this day best known for. She also began painting colourful interpretations of Malta’s Grand harbour region- Valletta and the three Cities -with its iconic architecture dating back to the Knights of Malta.
About 5 years ago Caroline began attending the Hay Festival and immediately fell in love with Wales. Several annual visits have not diminished her love of the region and she now describes herself as a commuter between Malta and Wales. She eagerly looks forward to developing her interpretative paintings of Wales’ beautiful landscape, both urban and pastoral.
We are showing 3 of Caroline's acrylic, numbered paintings called Patchwork Pastoral.
