Vanessa Pomeroy’s primary source of inspiration for her work is rural Herefordshire. Her landscape paintings capture the broad and majestic panoramas of this naturally beautiful area. Her paintings incorporate universal themes of light and the changing atmosphere, and explore the dramatic colour of the mountain range. Floral subjects include the interchange of rich colour and tone, as well as focussing on intimate garden subjects
At Found Gallery Vanessa is showing landscapes that not only suggest drama but also paintings that echo stability and joy, whilst others are more modest and quiet and calm in their pastoral theme.
The garden paintings here employ the ideas of informal design and buoyant colour, and in others mellow tone and precision.
