We are exhibiting the work of artist Howard Jones with photographer Jon Roberts. Howard has painted, sketched and studied art since his childhood. His style is impressionistic with a leaning towards abstract. He studies out of doors as much as possible in order to find inspiration for his studio work.
Jon Roberts is showing some of his iconic images that came out of an ongoing photography project on the 15 U.K. National Parks. This began in response to the Future Landscapes Report on designated landscapes in Wales. For this project Jon utilized a similar approach to 19th Century photographer Carleton Watkins using a panoramic film camera with a vintage large format lens to give a panoramic view with a sense of space and scale.
Alongside Howard and Jon’s work we have majestic vessels from long admired Tydd Pottery who are showing a new and exciting collection of vessels which are inspired by the pots produced over many generations by the Pueblo Indians of New Mexico. We also have a selection of some of their original Majolica pieces.
As part of this show we will be introducing the work of artist / printmaker Richard Studer whose work we will be showing up until Christmas.
Sculptor Julia Wager is exhibiting a number of her sculptures of animals which are cast in bronze using the lost wax process.
