This is only the second public exhibition of Tony’s work since winning the prestigious prize of Landscape Photographer of the Year 2013, against about 20,000 competing images.
However, Tony has not be idle, having won medals and acceptances for his work in various salons, including an art-nude acceptance into the highly-regarded London Salon of Photography.
In this exhibition, Tony is presenting recent work of night photography, in and around Brecon, in both colour and monochrome. The exceptions are an image of the breath-taking Aurora Borealis photographed in Iceland, and the Milky Way taken from the dark skies above the Elan valley.
Whilst landscapes are his first love, Tony has experimented with other genres and this exhibition features also two of his abstract compositions. These are multiple exposures taken within camera of the virtual intersections of solid sculptures.
Tony processes all his photographs himself and hand-prints and mounts every image to his exacting standards. All prints are made on special archival paper, using pigment inks; the combination offering colour fastness tested and guaranteed for decades when framed and mounted behind glass.
