The collection of bespoke jewellery and artefacts that Angela is exhibiting is created with corals, amber, bone, shells, ebony, semi-precious stones, horn, amulets, leather, suede and fabric and whatever she has felt to be appropriate for each piece. Everything is sourced from materials she has gathered over the years from countries where she has lived or visited. Consequently it all resonates with her because she is reminded of these places where she has been and everything has a story to tell. A living autobiography if you like.
Angela was basically taught by silversmiths from Taxco, a silver town in Mexico where almost everyone is a silversmith and this together with work in the theatre has undoubtedly influenced the nature and content of her work.
