We are showing a selection of images from Barry's book ‘Ten Years of Photographing the Brecon Fringe’ which he had been intending to launch in 2019 but then Covid hit. Two years on it is being released this August. This full colour A4 book has 197 pages, with photos from 2010 to 2019 and is a single print run with each copy numbered as a limited edition.
You will be able to buy copies of the book that haven't been pre-ordered at £20 per copy.
Barry has always had an interest in photography since buying his first Praktica SLR back in 1974. He then had an Olympus OM10 in 1978 which was used right up until 2005 when he transferred over to digital by buying a Nikon D70. He still uses this but has been converted to take infrared. The majority of photographs in his exhibition were taken using a Nikon D700. He has since moved over to a Nikon Mirrorless Z6 camera, purely for the silent operation. No more annoying clicks when the music goes quiet.
Barry was introduced to the Brecon Fringe back in 2010 when he and his wife ventured into town after seeing the Fringe advertised somewhere. He did not go with the intention of taking photographs but to see what was happening ...the rest is history!!
