Seasonal Finds was Found Gallery’s exhibition for Christmas 2019 with beautiful landscape watercolours and oils by Llangadog based artist, Duncan MacDonald Johnson alongside Judith Stroud’s paper sculpture relief prints which had a wonderful quirkiness and sparkle. Ceramicist, Justine Allison, exhibited a selection of her delicate, hand built porcelain vessels and bowls. Local artist, Toose Morton, showed her colourful mixed media paintings on board as well as charcoal and pen drawings of Brecon.
There were plenty of Christmas gift opportunities with Ruth Packham’s quirky birds, Emma Bevan’s heavenly angels, Molly Lemon’s wood engravings, Paul Davies' simple wood turned decorations, pens and more as well as gorgeous cushions, wraps and other lovely pieces from knitted textile designer Katie Victoria. Helen Flynn exhibited framed paper cuts based on traditional embroidery samplers whilst Yvette Brown had a selection of charming pewter and wood Christmas table decorations each telling a ‘small story’.
The sparkle continued with Angie Hughes colourful brooches and stunning jewellery by Alice Keeler whose lovely pieces are always sold in the most glorious of boxes. Alice was the winner of the h.Art Emerging Artist Bursary Award in 2019.
Found is always keen to support photography and Seasonal Finds featured the 12 images that made up Discover Cymru’s 2020 calendar which was also on sale with profits going to Brecon Mountain Rescue & Wales Air Ambulance.
